Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)...

... is a language for specifying how documents are presented to users.

Html/CSS quotes:

/*
this is CSS comment
*/

#000000
#FF0000
#00FF00
#0000FF
#FFFF00
#00FFFF
#FF00FF
#C0C0C0

The syntax for CSS is different than that of HTML markup.
It consists of only 3 parts.
selector { property: value }

CSS margin
properties are used to generate space around elements. The margin properties set the size of the white space OUTSIDE the border.

CSS padding
properties are used to generate space around content. The padding properties set the size of the white space between the element content and the element border.

A Class selector
is a name preceded by a full stop
.

An ID selector
is preceded by a hash character
#
.
So the CSS might look something like:
#top {
background-color: #ccc;
padding: 20px
}
.intro {
color: red;
font-weight: bold;
}
